Skin: wash with soap and water; remove contaminated clothing. Eyes: rinse with water for 15 minutes; seek medical advice if irritation persists. Inhalation of mist: move to fresh air. Ingestion: do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention.
Suitable extinguishing media: foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or water fog. Do not use a direct water jet. Combustion may produce carbon oxides and dense smoke. Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Prevent entry to drains and watercourses. Contain with sand or absorbent granules, collect into labelled containers for disposal, and clean the area with detergent. Beware of slippery surfaces.
Avoid skin contact and breathing oil mist. Store between 5°C and 40°C in closed original containers, away from heat, ignition sources and oxidising agents, in a bunded area.
Use local exhaust ventilation where mist can form. Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses; use coveralls where splashing is likely. Oil mist exposure limit: 5 mg/m³ (8-hour TWA) as a guideline value.
Amber liquid with a mild petroleum odour. Density 0.872 g/cm³ at 15°C, kinematic viscosity 46.2 mm²/s at 40°C, flash point 216°C (COC), pour point -27°C, insoluble in water.
Stable under normal storage and handling conditions. Incompatible with strong oxidising agents. Hazardous decomposition products: carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide on combustion.
Acute oral and dermal toxicity: low. Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause drying, irritation or oil acne. Inhalation of mist above the exposure limit may irritate the respiratory tract. Not classified as carcinogenic in this formulation.
Not readily biodegradable. Harmful to aquatic organisms with long-lasting effects if released in quantity. Do not discharge to soil, surface water or drainage systems.
Dispose of used oil and contaminated packaging through an approved waste-oil collector in accordance with local regulations. Do not mix with solvents, brake fluids or coolants. Do not burn in unsuitable equipment.
Not classified as dangerous goods for road, sea or air transport under ADR, IMDG or IATA. No UN number assigned. Transport in closed, labelled containers secured against movement.
Classified and labelled in accordance with the GHS. Users must comply with applicable UAE and local authority requirements for chemical storage, workplace safety and waste-oil disposal.

What is a material safety data sheet?+
A material safety data sheet, now normally called a safety data sheet, communicates the hazards of a chemical product and how to handle, store, transport and dispose of it safely. The internationally recognised GHS format uses 16 numbered sections in a fixed order.
Is an MSDS required in the UAE?+
In practice yes for chemical products. Suppliers are expected to provide safety data sheets to customers, and free zone authorities, civil defence and transport operators routinely require them for chemical storage approvals and dangerous-goods movements. Requirements differ by emirate and authority, so confirm the current expectation for your product and site.
How often should a safety data sheet be updated?+
Whenever the formulation, classification or regulatory position changes, and otherwise on a periodic review — many companies review every three years. Every issue carries a version number and revision date so customers know which sheet they hold.
Can one safety data sheet cover several products?+
Only where the products share the same composition and classification, such as viscosity grades of an identical formulation. Different hazard classifications need separate sheets, because sections 2, 3 and 11 would otherwise be misleading.
