Privacy Policy

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), or basic profile data if you sign in with a social provider such as Google.

Document content. The business and document details you type into our document makers (company names, addresses, invoice lines, employee names and similar) are processed to generate your documents and, when you choose to save, stored in your account so you can access them later.

Usage and device data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and approximate location, used for security, analytics and improving the service.

Payment data. If you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

Communications. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we keep those messages to respond and maintain support records.

• To provide, operate and secure the document makers and your account.
• To generate, save, share and deliver the documents you create.
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To send transactional messages (receipts, document links, security notices).
• To send optional product updates or newsletters, where you have subscribed.
• To analyse usage and improve our tools, content and performance.
• To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, based on your consent (for example, marketing emails and optional cookies), for our legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement) and to comply with applicable law, including UAE data protection requirements.

Documents you create without an account are generated in your browser session. When you save documents to your dashboard or send them through DocMak (for example, a secure share link to a client or employee), the document data is stored so the recipient can access it. You control who receives those links and the permissions attached to them (view, fill, sign or stamp).

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us run DocMak (hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, analytics), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Authorities where disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights and users.
• Recipients you explicitly choose to share a document with.

Our infrastructure providers may process data in data centres outside the UAE. Where data is transferred internationally, we use providers offering appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data protection law.

We keep your account and saved documents for as long as your account is active. You may delete documents at any time. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records).

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level access controls on stored data and time-limited secure share links. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent for optional processing. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

DocMak is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of DocMak after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
